Tom Compton Will Start at Right Tackle Against Dallas
Washington Redskins head coach Jay Gruden said Friday that Tom Compton will take over at starting right tackle on Monday night versus the Dallas Cowboys.
Compton split time with Tyler Polumbus in the fourth quarter against the Titans and will look to build on that success moving forward.
Polumbus has struggled much of the year and is by far the weak link of the Redskins offensive line giving up 9+ sacks so far this season.
The position change at right tackle is the first non-injury change on the offensive line since 2010.
Jay Gruden said that Polumbus and Morgan Moses would be “ready to roll” if needed. Gruden later said one of them would be deactivated for the game.
