Bashaud Breeland Suspended for one Game
According to a report from NFL Network’s Albert Breer, Redskins cornerback Bashaud Breeland has been suspended for one game.
The suspension stems from an incident that happened almost a year ago during the Redskins training camp in Richmond. Breeland was cited by VCU police for misdemeanor possession of marijuana.

While the timing of the suspension is odd it’s not completely surprising considering Breeland was never disciplined by the league.
While Breeland is currently battling for a higher spot on the depth chart, he’s listed as the teams number three corner behind Chris Culliver and DeAngelo Hall. With Breeland likely to miss the opening game against Miami, the rest of the unit will now have to step up. Thankfully the Redskins are equipped to deal with a missing player at corner as David Amerson started 15 games a year ago.
