Brandon Scherff Selected to PFWA 2015 All-Rookie Team
The Pro Football Writers of America (PFWA) recently released their list of the best rookies of the 2015 NFL season and Redskins guard Brandon Scherff made the cut.
Scherff, who was drafted with the 5th pick in last years NFL draft, started all 17 games at right guard for the Redskins in 2015.
The former Iowa Hawkeye says he’s excited for the future. “I thought I improved,” Scherff said. “That’s the goal is to try and improve each and every day and with Coach Callahan, he pushed you to be the best you can be and I’m excited to keep moving forward.”
St. Louis Rams running back Todd Gurley, who led all NFL rookies in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns, was selected as the 2015 Rookie of the Year and 2015 Offensive Rookie of the Year. Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Marcus Peters, who tied for the NFL lead in interceptions, was selected as the 2015 Defensive Rookie of the Year.
