Redskins Lineman Jordan Black Suspended For Four Games For PED’s

For the third time this season the Washington Redskins lost a player due to testing positive for performance-enhancing drugs (PED’s). Jordan Black, a backup offensive lineman, was the latest Redskin player to receive a suspension. The suspension will last for a period of four games that will stretch into any playoff run the Redskins may make.

On December 4th Cedric Griffin was suspended by the league and just before the season started Tanard Jackson was as well.

Black played in nearly every game this year with the special teams and filled in week 3 for an injured Trent Williams at left tackle. He was also viewed as a replacement for the now injured Tyler Polumbus at right tackle heading into this weeks game with Philadelphia.

Black was out of football last season and was close to filing for retirement when the Redskins signed him during training camp. At the time of his signing, he weighed only 275 and needed to gain roughly 25 pounds to get up to playing weight.

The Redskins didn’t send out the statement from the league until after Mike Shanahan had concluded his Monday press conference, so there was no official statement from the coach.

The Redskins will look to their other backup tackles now,  second-year multipurpose guy Maurice Hurt and rookie Tom Compton. Compton has yet to play this year and spent most of the season on the practice squad.

The league’s announcement of Black’s enforced time away means that an appeal has already been heard and disposed of, that didn’t stop Black’s teammates who took to Twitter in protest of his suspension. They all claim he was prescribed the medication he tested positive for. link PVC täispuhutavad kummipaadid hea hinnaga
