The NFL players union voted on and approved (1019 to 959 votes) the proposed collective bargaining agreement Sunday morning.
The agreement gives the NFL:
NOTE: Brandon Scherff’s franchise tag is determined by either the tag number ($14.781) or 120% of his 2019 salary (which would be $15.1 million)…the higher number of the two, will serve as his price, according to the league’s rules on the franchise tag.
The Redskins officially franchise-tagged offensive lineman Brandon Scherff on Saturday. Scherff played and started in 11 games while only giving up one and a half sacks and was named to the Pro Bowl during the 2019 season.
Scherff is entering his sixth NFL season after originally being selected by the Redskins in the first round (5th overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft. Scherff has earned Pro Bowl selections three out of four years in his career: 2016, 2017, and 2019.
