Game Preview:
What to Expect:
The Redskins will be getting quarterback Robert Griffin III back from injury this week. Jay Gruden has spoken this week about how he felt like he was too conservative with Griffin week one versus the Texans and wants to open things up in the future. Gruden will be facing off against his former colleague in Cincinnati Mike Zimmer. Zimmer was the defensive coordinator while Gruden was the offensive coordinator for the Bengals, both are now first year head coaches.
Look for Alfred Morris to get back on track with Griffin back in the lineup. Griffin opens things up for the entire team including the ground game which directly affects Morris.
The Redskins defense will be facing a rookie QB who has mobile-tendencies…historically Washington is not good in games going up against an opposing QB with those dynamics. The defense will have to build off of last weeks success and put pressure on Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater and try to force the rookie to make mistakes.
