The Washington Redskins hosted select fans, former players (Rich Milot), media, and even Miss USA, Kára McCullough (formerly Miss D.C.) at the 2017 Taste of FedExField Wednesday night as the franchise unveiled the menu to be served at the general admission, club and suite levels of FedExField this coming season. Those in attendance were able to try the newest food offerings including the Hottodoggu (Japanese Dog), the Bulgogi Beef Rice Bowl and Hog-Chos.
In addition to the changes on the menu, the Redskins also announced that there will be metal detectors at the gate entrance to the stadium. Fans who have attended games in recent years will be happy to hear that after spending precious time before games stuck at the gate while security uses the hand-wand to make sure you’re not carrying the wrong things in. The team also unveiled new improvements to the seating area with drink holders at every seat.
After expanding their agreement in April 2017, the Washington Redskins and Levy conducted market and fan research to build on trend-inspired menus and stadium favorites. They also focused on enhancing fan experience by improving speed of service, incorporating digital menu boards, and revamping food and beverage staff uniforms.
“We’re very excited about what we have to offer Redskins fans this season at FedExField,” said Chris Bloyer, Senior Vice President, Stadium Operations and Guest Experience. “We believe our focus on quality, variety, speed of service and helpfulness of staff will give the best fans in the NFL the great gameday experience they deserve.”
In addition, the organization will support the local community by working with numerous local vendors this season including Hoffman Meats, Hearn Kirkwood, Brookwood Farms, Constellation Brands Wine, Marybeth’s Bakery, Logan’s Sausage Company, Lyon Bakery, Ben’s Chili Bowl, Flying Dog Brewery, Devil’s Backbone Brewery, Dogfish Head Brewery, Starr Hill Brewery, Dominion, and Atlas Brew Works.
