Redskins Are 2015 NFC East Division Champions
Despite 50-1 odds before the season the Washington Redskins won the NFC east Saturday night in Philadelphia. The team has battled through a multitude of situations to find itself on top of the standings now as the dust settles on the 2015 season.
The Redskins may not be “world-beaters”, but they are playing good, consistent football and are hot at the right time of the year heading into the playoffs. The other three NFC east teams are all heading towards losing seasons, and major off-season question marks, while the Redskins are preparing for an unknown opponent in the first round of the playoffs.

Yes the team must still face Dallas in week 17, but head coach Jay Gruden has already alluded to the fact that he may rest his starters even though the Redskins plan on playing to win. “We have to dress 46 obviously, and seven guys will be inactive and the injuries will be a major part of that, but the guys that play, they have every intent of trying to win this football game”, said Gruden. “It’s a big game for us to keep our momentum, but we also have to be smart about the guys that are a little bit dinged up and get them well for the playoffs.”
While most Redskins fans may not want to hear it, resting the starters to get healthy may be the best thing in week 17. Yes Dallas is the biggest rival, but being 100% could make the difference in being “one-and-down” and making a deep run into January. No matter who the Redskins face in the playoffs, the Vikings , Packers and Seahawks are all good football teams capable of moving well past the first round.

One thing is for certain, this team has grown since August and is determined to play more than just one post-season game. The odds (like always) will be agaisnt the Redskins no matter the opponent, but the drive this team displays on gameday will be present.
Smile Redskins Nation, our team just proved 99% of America wrong…now they’re all scrambling for excuses.
HAIL TO THE REDSKINS!!! NFC EAST CHAMPS!!
