Bashaud Breeland Responds to his Critics
Redskins second-year cornerback Bashaud Breeland’s last 24 hours have been a nightmare. Almost a full year after originally getting in trouble, Breeland was suspended for one game by the NFL Friday morning. Breeland took the suspension in stride knowing he had already changed the things that led to his troubles. The afternoon brought problems of a different nature as Breeland injured his MCL and has been declared out for 4-6 weeks by the Redskins medical staff.
Those are two tough situations for anyone to deal with, let alone a 23 year-old who began his day yesterday battling it out for a starting role.
Like many athletes, Breeland took harsh criticism from fans who may not have known that he already realized the error of his ways a year ago. Using the power of social media Breeland took to his Twitter account to address his haters and naysayers this morning. Below are his responses.
