Redskins Decimate Packers Ahead of Thanksgiving Match Against Dallas

Redskins Decimate Packers

The Redskins couldn’t be happier with how they performed against the Green Bay Packers. They needed to make a statement and they did just that by beating the Packers 42-24. Looking at the latest NFL betting with MyBookie.lv, the Redskins do not seem to think that the Cowboys are that scary anymore.

The Redskins needed this more than anything. Not only did they show what their offense could do but they played with consistency. They were not afraid to make big plays and their aggression paid off.

But even with all the confidence they have now, they cannot afford to take the Dallas game on Thursday lightly. The Packers game was one thing; the Packers were really struggling on their end.

Dallas will present a wholly different challenge; if the Redskins can knock them out, it will say volumes to fans of the NFL. What set the Redskins apart on Sunday was the fact that they seemed to have learned from past mistakes.

They were actually taking advantage of the sorts of opportunities they normally squander. They broke a trend that had plagued them as that one team that could be achieving even bigger wins if they would only grasp every chance that came their way.

This isn’t the first time the Redskins have accrued some impressive yards; however, the Sunday game was the first time in several games that their accrued yards were complemented by actual points (normally the Redskins have no points to show for all their accrued yards).

Of course, the Redskins were not single-handedly responsible for their victory here. The Packers’ defense really crumbled. This is probably why NFL fans are not heaping as much praise on the Redskins for their victory on Sunday. The Packers did not make it that difficult.

That being said, the Redskins showed that they have an offensive unit capable of contending with every other defense in the league. If Kirk Cousins can throw the ball on Thursday like he did on Sunday, then the Redskins have a decent chance of beating Dallas.

It probably came as a surprise that the Redskins made so many big plays. Receiver Pierre Garcon, who caught a seventy-yard touchdown pass on a post route, had a very successful night, garnering more than a hundred yards and exceeding his most impressive achievement since 2014.

Receiver Jamison Crowder and Running Back Robert Kelley were just as impressive, Kelley rushing 24 times for 137 yards while Crowder caught a 44-yard touchdown pass and a 53 bomb to the one.

The Redskins were at their best on Sunday; they had so many weapons at their disposal and they made effective use of all of them. Last season, the Redskins proved that they had one of the best offenses in the league. The Sunday game showed that they may very well be on their way back to that point.

The Packers, on the other hand, pretty much made a statement about their defense when they allowed 47 points to the Tennessee Titans. The loss to the Redskins was no real surprise.

It is difficult to make any predictions about the Dallas game on Thursday. The Redskins might have pulled out all the stops on Sunday but they have shown in previous games that they can just as easily flounder when it matters most.
