The Washington Redskins were able to lock up long-time long snapper Nick Sundberg Monday as the team announced they had re-signed the seven-year Redskins vet. Sundberg becomes the first player of this offseason to sign/re-sign a contract with the team.
Sundberg, 29, has appeared in 91 games, including 41 straight between the 2014-16 seasons, and is widely considered the best long-snapper in the entire NFL.
Sundberg is widely respected by his fellow teammates. Place-kicker Dustin Hopkins and Punter Tress Way have both repeatedly credited him with giving the special teams stability.
