According to several sources, the Washington Redskins are re-signing LB Jon Bostic.
Bostic (28) recorded 105 tackles (56 solo tackles) and intercepted one pass last year for the Redskins after being signed as an emergency roster move following Reuben Foster’s season-ending injury during OTA’s.
The new staff is obviously happy to get back to what works with Jon on the team and likely starting at middle linebacker in the team’s new 4-3 scheme that new defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio will unveil next season. Details on the contract are below.
Earlier in the day, the Redskins lost their starting left guard from the 2019 season when Ereck Flowers signed a three-year contract worth $30 million with his hometown Miami Dolphins. The deal was said to have $19.95 million in guaranteed money.
Flowers took to Twitter to thank the Redskins organization, fans, and fellow players for “all the love and support!”
The Redskins will now be tasked with finding a replacement for Flowers. They also currently have the luxury of being able to say they drafted Wes Martin and Ross Pierschbacher last season. Both may contribute during the 2020 season, and one will ultimately be the next starter at left guard for the Washington Redskins.
