The Washington Redskins started putting together their 10-man practice squad on Sunday. Under new rules, teams are now allowed to have 10 players instead of 8 & players who have played for the team for the last two years (on the 53-man roster) are now eligible as well.
2014-15 Washington Redskins Practice Squad:
Safety Akeem Davis, was waived by the team on Sunday to make room for Duke Ihenacho, if Davis clears waivers he will be assigned to the practice squad. Essentially the Redskins only have one spot open unless Davis signs elsewhere.
Four players from this list were drafted by the Redskins including Phillip Thomas, Ted Bolser, Chris Thompson and Richard Crawford. It’s good to see the team making an effort to try to further develop those players via the practice squad.
We will update this list as soon as it is finalized.
