RG3’s Jersey & Cleats From Giants win Sent to the Hall of Fame

Robert Griffin III, aka, RG3 broke now second-year Carolina Panther’s quarterback Cam Newton’s NFL rookie QB rushing record on Monday night. In the game against the Giants, RG3 rushed five times for 72 yards and now has 714 yards rushing on the year. Cam Newton rushed for 706 yards last year, a stat-line that Griffin surpassed with four games left on the schedule.

On Wednesday, RG3’s game jersey and cleats from the Monday night win were sent off to the Pro Football Hall of Fame to be displayed.

The victory also marked only the second time in history that a rookie quarterback won on Monday Night Football. The only other rookie quarterback to win on Monday Night was Terry Bradshaw.
