–The Redskins started the week off with a flurry of news as it pertains to their vacant coaching positions. The team announced that they have made several changes to their coaching staff, including the promotion of Matt Cavanaugh to Offensive Coordinator, the promotion of Greg Manusky to Defensive Coordinator, the promotion of Chad Englehart to Head Strength and Conditioning Coach, the hiring of Kevin O’Connell as Quarterbacks Coach, the hiring of Jim Tomsula as Defensive Line Coach and the hiring of Kavan Latham as Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. He also has a long track record as a coordinator after serving in that role for four seasons in San Francisco (2007 to 2010) when McCloughan was the general manager there and four more years with the Indianapolis Colts (2012-2015).
