Colt McCoy Exits Game After 1 Drive, RGIII Takes Over at QB
After one drive Redskins quarterback Colt McCoy was pulled from the game Sunday against the New York Giants. McCOy took a pretty sizable hit from several Giants players on a broken play that he had to scramble up the middle on. McCoy was taken into the locker room, and then returned to sidelines. His return is questionable as he re-aggravated the neck injury he suffered a week ago against the St. Louis Rams.
Robert Griffin III took over at quarterback after McCoy left the game. For Griffin it’s his first action since being benched following week 12’s game against the 49ers.
McCoy was 4-7 for 39 yards before the injury.
Griffin started his relief duties off by going 6-6 for 75 yards and a touchdown to go along with a perfect passer rating of 158.3.
