The tendered offer, which is worth $1.54 million, was offered last month by the Redskins.
Forbath made 24 of 27 field goals last season for a .888 percentage. Forbath made 18 of 22 of his kicks in 2013 after hitting from 94% his rookie season.
The Redskins drafted Zach Hocker last year in an effort to bring competition to the place-kicking position, Forbath beat him out in preseason.
The possibility of the Redskins bringing in another place-kicker is still strong when you consider Forbath is one of the worst kick-off guys in the league. The Redskins have routinely finished near the bottom of the league in terms of yardage given up on kick-offs during his time as the teams place-kicker. Forbath just simply doesn’t get the amount of touchbacks other kickers in the NFL do. That weakness has been something Forbath has been working on the last two offseasons.
