The Washington Redskins made some roster moves on Tuesday. After placing defensive tackle Barry Cofield on the short-term injured reserve list, the Redskins promoted safety Akeem Davis from the practice squad to the 53-man roster.
Davis was originally on the 53-man roster but was moved to the practice squad after the team signed Duke Ihenacho.
The Redskins also released receiver Nick Williams and corner Richard Crawford from the practice squad. The team signed three new players to fill the 10-man practice unit.
The three players signed were: 6-3, 236 lb tight end Je’Ron Hamm (UDFA from Louisiana-Monroe). 6-0, 321 lb defensive lineman Derrick Hopkins (UDFA from Virginia Tech), and receiver 6-2, 225 lb Marvin McNutt. The Eagles drafted McNutt in the 6th round of the 2012 draft after being the all-time leading receiver in Iowa Hawkeye history.
