Redskins Sign Defensive End Ricky Jean-Francois
According to multiple sources, the Washington Redskins have signed defensive lineman Ricky Jean-Francois to a three-year deal worth $9 million, with $4 million guaranteed.
Jean-Francois spent the last two seasons with Indianapolis before getting released just a few days ago in a cap-dollars-saving move.
Last season, the 6-foot-3, 297-pound Jean-Francois recorded career highs in tackles (28), sacks (three) and passes defended (six), only Jason Hatcher and Chris Baker put up better numbers last year for Washington.
Jean-Francois, 28, spent his first four years in the NFL playing for the San Francisco 49ers, where new Redskins General Manager Scot McCloughan drafted him in the seventh round out of LSU in 2009.
One of the main things the Redskins needed to be focused on this offseason was getting younger and better in the trenches on both sides of the ball. This signing is a solid move in a positive direction for the franchise as McCloughan starts to put his stamp on the roster.

NLTBE: $750K based on playtime and making the Pro Bowl.
2017
Cap hit: $4 million
Base salary: $2.75 million.
