Redskins Tryout 14 Players Including Former RB Tim Hightower

The Washington Redskins have made it somewhat of a tradition the last few years to bring players in during the bye-week for tryouts. This year is no different even though the Redskins have a new coach in town as the team brought in 14 players on Tuesday.

The 14 players who tried out were: quarterback Terrelle Pryor, running back Jeff Demps, running back Tim Hightower, tight end Chase Dixon, tight end D.C. Jefferson, defensive back Ahmad Black, defensive tackle Lanier Coleman, tackle Chris Faulk, tight end Tyler George, guard Maurice Hurt, defensive end Donte Paige-Moss, nose tackle Justin Renfroe, and defensive back Nickoe Whitley.

Hightower last played in the NFL for the Redskins in 2011, starting five games and rushing for 321 yards before having knee issues.

The Redskins, who have the least amount of available salary cap space in the NFL at $154,986, have an open spot on their practice squad.

None of the players who tried out were signed as of yet.
