Jordan Reed Hid Concussion

Washington Redskins second-year tight end Jordan Reed kept a concussion to himself last season before suffering another one and missing the rest of the year.

In a recent interview with David Elfin of The SportsXchange Reed talked of the hidden injury.

“I think I had had a concussion two weeks before, but I didn’t tell nobody so when I took a shot to the side of my head against the Eagles it made it worse,” Reed said. “I was in a bad spot for a long time. I didn’t know if they would ever go away, but I’m past it now.”

Reed ended up missing the final six games of the season a year ago. He was on pace to break the all-time receiving yards (in a season) record for the Redskins and still broke the rookie record in the process.

“I started to get a little scared after about two months – like, ‘Maybe I’m going to be like this forever,’ or something like that,” Reed said. “But it ended up going away.”

Reed is approaching his second year in the league and is currently 100% healthy. He is expected to be a major part of the Redskins offensive attack in 2014.
