The Washington Redskins finalized their 2014-15, 53-man roster this past weekend. In the process, the players who were wearing duplicate numbers that made the team needed something new. Monday the Redskins issued those new numbers.
Newly signed safety Duke Ihenacho, will wear No. 35. The 35 was worn previously by safety Akeem Davis, who was waived on Sunday but is expected to be back with the practice squad, and running back Lache Seastrunk, who was cut Saturday.
Linebacker Will Compton will switch to the 51 after sharing the 46 with Alfred Morris during preseason/camp.
Outside linebacker Gabe Miller, who wore the 45 during camp/preseason, will switch to the 50 which previously belonged to Rob Jackson.
Running back Silas Redd, will switch to the 32 after sharing the 24 with safety Bacarri Rambo during camp/preseason.
Akeem Davis, now with the practice squad, will wear the 47. Linebacker Chaz Sutton, who the team signed to the practice squad on Monday, will wear the 53 with the Redskins.
