The Washington Redskins announced today that they have signed wide receiver Rashad Ross to their practice squad. In order to make room for Ross the team released wide receiver Marvin McNutt from the practice squad.

The team also announced that it has commenced the 21-day practice periods for defensive end Stephen Bowen and wide receiver Leonard Hankerson, both of whom are currently on the team’s Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list (PUP).

Ross (6-0, 181) originally signed with the Redskins as a free agent on May 23, 2014, before being waived on August 26. He signed to the Chicago Bears practice squad on September 1st and was signed to the team’s active roster on September 16th, ultimately appearing in his first two NFL games in Weeks 3-4. He was waived by Chicago on September 30th, added to the team’s practice squad on October 2nd, and later released from the practice squad on October 7th.
